Collagen

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body, providing structure and elasticity to skin. As we age, collagen production declines, leading to wrinkles, sagging, and loss of firmness. Topically applied collagen cannot directly replace lost collagen in the dermis (the molecules are too large to penetrate deeply), but it provides excellent surface hydration and can signal skin cells to produce more collagen.
