Why does it go on before lotion instead of after?
It's a pre-serum designed to prep skin and boost absorption of everything applied after it. The nano-ceramides penetrate the skin barrier, then the lotion and serum that follow sink in deeper. Think of it as a primer for your skincare, not a final step.
Is the red color just for show?
No. The red comes from astaxanthin, a potent antioxidant sourced from algae. It's the same compound that makes salmon and shrimp pink. Astaxanthin is one of the strongest antioxidants in skincare, stronger than vitamin C or E by some measures.
