What's the difference between the cream and the essence?
The essence (in the tube) is a concentrated vitamin C treatment you apply to specific dark spots and blemishes. The cream is an all-over face moisturizer with vitamin C for daily brightening and hydration. Most people use the essence as a targeted serum step, then the cream as their moisturizer. You can use both together, they're designed to layer.
Is the cream oily?
It's on the richer side compared to typical Japanese moisturizers. The texture is creamy rather than gel-like, and some people with combination or oily skin find it too heavy for summer or daytime. If you have dry skin or use it at night, the richness is actually a plus. For oily skin, try using a smaller amount or save it for winter.
Can I use this in the morning?
Yes. Despite having vitamin C (which some people worry about with sun exposure), the Melano CC cream is fine for morning use as long as you follow with sunscreen.
