How is this different from regular Hada Labo Gokujyun?
This is the acne-targeted version. It keeps the hyaluronic acid hydration but adds IPMP (an antibacterial active) and glycyrrhizin for inflammation. The regular Gokujyun Premium contains ferments that can trigger breakouts in some people, this version is formulated to avoid those issues. It's also oil-free, fragrance-free, and alcohol-free.
Will this help with active breakouts?
It's designed to prevent breakouts rather than treat active acne. The antibacterial ingredient helps keep pores clear, and the anti-inflammatory glycyrrhizin can calm redness. For active breakouts, you'd want to add a targeted treatment with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid.
