Is this a toner or a moisturizer?
It's a moisturizer (emulsion). In Japanese skincare, 'lotion' means toner and 'milky lotion' or 'milk' means emulsion, which is a lightweight moisturizer. This goes after the Premium Lotion (which is the toner) and before a cream if you use one.
Can I use this instead of a cream?
Depends on your skin and climate. People with oily or combination skin in humid environments often find this enough on its own. Dry skin types or those in dry climates usually need to seal it with the Premium Cream on top. It's lighter than a traditional cream but still delivers solid hydration when layered correctly.
How is this different from the Premium Lotion?
