Do I need to use this with THE ANSWER shampoo?
It's designed to pair with THE ANSWER shampoo, but you don't have to. The treatment works on its own for daily damage from friction and UV. Using it with the matching shampoo gives you the full lamellar platform technology experience, but plenty of people use it with other shampoos and still see results.
What makes this different from regular conditioner?
It's technically a treatment, not a conditioner. The formula uses high concentrations of ceramide α and olive fruit oil in what Kao calls a lamellar structure, which helps repair ingredients penetrate deeper into damaged hair. It's richer than typical conditioners and targets damage from friction and UV specifically.
How much should I use?
Apply a moderate amount to mid-lengths and ends. Skip the roots unless your hair is very dry. The texture is quite rich, so a little goes further than you'd expect. If your hair feels greasy after rinsing, you're using too much.
