FAQ
What happened to Flowfushi Moteliner?
When Flowfushi shut down in 2019, the team relaunched as UZ with a sustainability focus. The UZ Eye Opening Liner is the successor to Moteliner, using the same Yamato Takumi brush tip (handmade by traditional Japanese brush artisans) but with a reformulated ink and recycled aluminum packaging.
Is it as waterproof as Heroine Make?
Not quite. UZ uses a warm water removal film formula, which means it's resistant to sweat and oil but can be removed with warm water. It holds up well in daily wear and moderate humidity, but Heroine Make is more bulletproof in extreme conditions like heavy rain or swimming.
Does the white liner really show up?
Yes, and it's one of the most popular shades. The white is opaque enough to brighten the waterline without looking chalky or disappearing within minutes. Japanese makeup users frequently use white liner on the lower waterline to make eyes look larger and more awake.
