Is this different from US Nivea sunscreen?
Yes, completely different. The Japanese version (made by Kao, licensed from Beiersdorf) uses UV filters that aren't FDA-approved in the US, like Uvinul A Plus and ethylhexyl triazone. These give higher photo-stable UVA protection and allow the gel texture. US Nivea sunscreens are limited to avobenzone for UVA, which only dissolves in oil.
Can I use this on my face or just body?
Both. Japanese sunscreens usually specify if they're face-only or body-only. This one is formulated for full body use, which means it's gentle enough for face but comes in a large 140g pump for efficient body application. The gel texture is lightweight and absorbs quickly.
