Kate Lip Monster

ケイトリップモンスター
makeup lipstick

The lipstick that went viral in Japan for one reason: it genuinely does not come off. Not "lasts a long time" but "survives a full meal and still looks applied." A film forming polymer locks pigment in place without the drying, cracking feel that most long wear lip products have. The texture is comfortable and slightly moist. Huge shade range that keeps expanding because of demand. Kate is Kanebo's drugstore makeup brand, and Lip Monster is the product that put them on the map internationally. Frequently listed as the #1 thing to buy at Japanese drugstores by tourists and beauty bloggers.

FAQ
Does it really not transfer?
Not completely, but it's close. A film forming polymer locks pigment in place, so you can eat a full meal and still have most of the color intact. You'll see some transfer on napkins or cups, but far less than normal lipstick.
Is it drying?
No. Despite being long wear, the formula stays comfortable and slightly moist. It doesn't have the tight, cracking feel of liquid matte lipsticks. The moisturizing oils in the formula keep lips from feeling stripped.
How do I remove it?
Regular makeup remover or cleansing oil works. Because it forms a film, it comes off more like a tint than a traditional lipstick. An oil based remover is easiest.
